This individual plays a key role in specialty services referral development at the UW Medical Center by educating external referring clinicians on available services, assessing their needs and providing service satisfaction, partnering with operations staff and others to meet referral development goals and keeping the organization appraised of identified business opportunities. Physician Relations Liaison

Job Summary:
Responsible for the implementation of strategies to enhance the relationship with providers, respond to service needs and build market share. This includes working closely with Stamford Hospital departments to maximize provider utilization of hospital services, influence referral patterns and build revenue generating business. Focused concentration will be placed on working in partnership with the lab and radiology service to build out-reach and outpatient business.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required. Combination of sales and marketing experience preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field of marketing and/or sales in healthcare or related industry.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task, work independently and achieve sales goals.
Proven track record.

Outreach Coordinator, Montefiore-Einstein Heart Center

We are currently seeking an Outreach Coordinator/Physician Liaison to join our Heart Center assisting the Clinical Co-directors and the Vice President in the operations of the center’s provider relations. Responsibilities will include project management, staff supervision and training, representation at meetings and triaging issues. This position will serve as a liaison between the medical staff and Montefiore Medical Center for the purpose of facilitation and resolution of all provider services issues and communication to and from providers.

Additional responsibilities include: assisting in building new referring physician relationships and practice growth; increasing provider/patient market share; tracking and trending provider information including admission trends, with focus on satisfaction of providers referring to the Heart Center; and responding to a variety of related questions.

Qualified candidates will have marketing, PR and/or outreach experience in a healthcare setting and a BS/BA. A clinical background may be helpful.

JOB SUMMARY:

Individual will be responsible for implementing programs and outreach efforts to establish relationships with physicians within the market area to achieve client growth objectives in a qualitative and quantitative manner. A major responsibility will be to develop and implement programs and strategies to attract and integrate new physician practices into the Primary Care Group. The position will be involved in succession planning and the identification and expansion opportunities within existing practices. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Analysis of market data, physician input and other variables to identify potential recruitment targets
  • Maintain ongoing communication and recruitment efforts directed towards acquisition of practices
  • Coordination of practice evaluations, financial reviews and proposal development for target practices
  • Must be able to prioritize and make effective decisions on critical deadline driven projects
  • Participation in activities related to the operational integration of new practices
  • Required travel (50% to 60%) within State of Connecticut

    Hospital Services Liaison/Coordinator

    Gift of Life Donor Program, the non-profit agency serving eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware, is responsible for recovering and distributing organ and tissues used in life-saving and life-enhancing transplants.

    This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced physician liaison, health care educator, marketing, or sales professional eager to partner with physicians and hospital staff in fostering collaborative efforts aimed at achieving Gift of Life Donor Program mission.

    You will develop and coordinate marketing and educational programs aimed at promoting and increasing organ and tissue donation within area hospitals; Maintain hospital referral base and implements strategies aimed at increasing and improving performance outcomes in organ and tissue donation; Sustain relationships with referring physicians and nursing staff and initiate changes in practice to increase organ and tissue donation in assigned portfolio; Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of hospital market to characterize donor potential and identify decision-making individuals who can influence hospital protocols; and establish multi-disciplinary councils to develop standards of practices that will optimize outcomes.

    Bachelor degree in business, education, or a health care related field plus four years work experience in health care environment required. Successful candidates will possess a record of demonstrated success in sales and marketing, customer service and public speaking.

    You must be able to organize and coordinate multiple projects and calendars of multiple individuals, and plan for contingencies in a fast paced environment. Critical thinking and ability to work independently are necessary.
