Measuring productivity and physician
satisfaction to support the functions of
the Outreach Liaisons, who added the
responsibility of the PAP to their other
responsibilities, we built and maintain a
data collection system that has reduced
their workload while greatly increasing
their productivity. The system involves
the use of a program written for the
Palm Pilot, which synchronizes with an
Access database designed specifically to
measure their productivity and the
satisfaction with the level of service that
physicians receive. This
allows the Outreach Liaison to record the
outcomes of each physician contact, at
the point of service. In addition, it allows
them to record results of verbally
administered satisfaction surveys at each
visit.
